Fall Prevention Workshop @ Your Library

Monday, November 28 at 10:00 A.M. - Every Step Matters - Minimizing Slips, Trips, and Falls: Each year, one in every three adults age 65 and older falls. Falls can lead to moderate to severe injuries, such as hip fractures and head traumas, and can even increase the risk of early death. Fortunately, falls are largely preventable. Learn facts about falls and tips on reducing the risk. Presented by a representative from the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, this workshop will be of interest to caregivers, older adults and others with an interest in the topic. Dr. Sherlock Holmes @ Your Library

They may not know how important the medical profession was to the first great detective. By examining Sherlock Holmes's detective in the context of Doyle's medical writings, Professor James Krasner's talk offers insights into the relationship between doctors and detectives. Colored Pencil Drawing Class @ Your Library
