Are you looking for a new hobby or interest? Have cabin fever after so much snow and too much time indoors? Well, the HPL has a cure! As you enter the library, look to the table on your left, where you will find a display of books entitled “Try something new in the New Year”. You can find all kinds of interesting and new hobbies, from building birdhouses to playing better bridge. Other titles deal with subjects such as using GPS, Sea Kayaking, Mahjong, T’ai Chi, Swing Dancing, and even gender specific woodworking projects. If you can’t quite find what you’re looking for let us know and we’ll be happy to help you!
The Hooksett Public Library’s 2nd annual Ladies Night Expo will be held this Thursday, January 31st, 2008. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the party will continue until 9 p.m. Come prepared to shop, since many of our 30+ vendors will be offering their wares at a special discount. Also, there will be plenty of freebies and door prizes, as well as free massages and spray on tanning as well as a demonstration from Pedals and Pilates! Grab your daughter, sister, mother, and girlfriends and come down to the library for a relaxing, fun evening!
