Pirates were making a splash this week at the Library!! Participants were turning into pirates every day! The kids made pirate eye patches and pirate hats to wear, and they also created their own pirate faces, including scars!! The Percy Jackson Party was a BIG hit. Everyone made name tags using the Greek Alphabet. It was pretty tricky because you may not find a letter in your name in the Greek Alphabet!! They also made Oracle of the Delphi fortune tellers! It wouldn't be a party without food. We were treated with "Nectar of the Gods", "Ambrosia" and fresh strawberries from Camp Half-Blood.
Minute To Win It contestants took part in the 4th week of contests. They had to keep a feather up in the air for a full minute by blowing on it. The second part was to sort M&M's into 5 colors in order of color: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue. This was harder than you would think; you couldn't put one in out of order!!
Two weeks left to the program. I can't wait to see who has read the most hours!!
